Elaine Mooney – Group Head of HR

Elaine joined The Brennan & Co Group in 2019 to establish the group’s HR function and to build a best in class HR offering that supports the strategic business plans while making work rewarding and engaging for employees. Elaine is currently Group Head of HR and is responsible for ensuring an outstanding employee experience for all our people that has a focus on wellbeing and inclusiveness. Prior to joining the group, Elaine held senior HR positions with a global recruitment consultancy where she was responsible for the HR function in Ireland and training and development across Europe. Working across a number of industries in Ireland and Australia over a 20 year career in HR, she has experience across all areas of the people journey from both an operational and strategic perspective.

Since joining the company, Elaine has developed a strategic HR plan that underpins the people strategy for the group and creates a culture where our people can reach their full potential. She has implemented a HR software system, overhauled our talent acquisition and development practices and rolled out an extensive training and development programme across the Group. Additionally, she designed and implements an employee engagement plan that aims to put the employee at the heart of the company.

Elaine has a BA in Psychology from UCD and Masters in Human Resource Management from UCD Michael Smurfit, where she was awarded the Richard Maher Memorial Medal for academic achievement. She is currently undertaking a Diploma in Organisational Development and Transformation at the IMI.
